West Elm: Designs for Dads

Unfortunately, last night ended in a much worse way than we anticipated. Obviously, our Canucks lost their chance at the Stanley Cup but, on a much more sour note, many of the foolish hooligans who poured into the city to watch the game made the sad choice to riot. Shameful. And so embarrassing to us all. For all of you watching the footage on TV and elsewhere, words cannot express how sickening this is to the majority of us British Columbians and Canadians. Safe thoughts to all of the brave members of the VPD and other innocent civilians in the midst of it as I write this post.
On a much brighter note, Father’s Day is on Sunday and what better way to celebrate Dad than with some stylish finds from West Elm. I’m loving their slick take on industrial pieces…like that stool! The perfect masculine touch to any space. Beer, metal, wood…what will you be gifting to that special Father in your life? My dad’s really difficult to shop for so I like to put together a little gift basket of all of his favourite goodies. I found a few perfect treats across the line at Trader Joe’s in Bellingham the other day that I think he’ll love…along with the handy tool organizer that he hinted at!
