Pantone 2012: Tangerine Tango

Have you ever thought to yourself who decides the upcoming design and fashion trends? I have. I suppose that many trends just evolve but there is a committee of trendsetters who make these decisions for us. The folks at Pantone have released their Fashion Color Report for Spring 2012 and it looks like Tangerine Tango is the winner of the Pantone 2012 Color of the Year award! It shouldn’t feel too out of place as orange has been seen here and there for awhile now and I’m hoping that it will still be on trend when I dig my new sofa out of storage in 8 or so months. It’s a lovely steel blue and I think a little tangerine love would go perfectly. What do you think of the Spring colour forecast? Any favourites?
