Holiday Gift Guide…part II

Well, we have had our first snowfall of the season. My daughters were thrilled. With what little snow had fallen, they managed to sweep up enough to make a few wee snowmen this afternoon with their Grandma. There are rumours of a very wicked winter, the worst we’ve had in 50 years. I haven’t heard it from anyone “official” yet so I’ll have to see it to believe it.  A couple years ago, I started the ritual of picking out one or two appetizers for gatherings. I can then stock up on ingredients and I have one less thing to think about.  I can’t believe that starting this Saturday, we have Christmas events booked every weekend until the New Year! And I haven’t picked out my recipes yet!  What are your favourite appetizers?

Doesn’t that sound so good?  And for those with a green thumb or not, these lovely Jade plants are easy to care for and should outlive a bouquet of cut flowers.  She also had another idea that I loved.  A breakfast basket for the hostess who’s planned everything but a healthy breakfast for the next morning.
