I’m thinking that I need to up my daily dose of Vitamin D supplements because I’ve been craving sunshine and colour in a big way! I assume it’s pretty normal for most of us who live in the Great Wide North to start feeling this way right around now, especially when warmer Spring temperatures seem to be very behind schedule! The sun finally came out yesterday and the kids and I went for not one but two walks and spent over 2 hours at the park with friends, soaking in as much as we could. It made a world of difference for us all!

Art is one of the easiest ways to inject colour to your space and thanks to Etsy and a plethora of other online shops (like Society6), it’s also much more affordable for the masses than it used to be. As you’ve seen, I’m a big fan of wall art in my own home and feel it adds so much personality to a space. But not all art needs to be attached to a wall…a colourful chandelier, bright mirror frame or graphic rug can be equally as show-stopping as a painting or other framed piece, don’t you think?

Not sure what to do with the endless art from your young proteges? Children’s art is always a challenge to keep let alone display but, if I had the space, this wall of clips could be the perfect solution…

We had an unexpected hiccup over the weekend when a simple caulking repair in our ensuite bath turned into a full-on gut job. Turns out, we’ve had a slow leak that’s obviously been happening for quite some time (picture mold and rotten floorboards, ugh!) so we’ve now got an unplanned reno to tackle. Oh, the joys of home ownership! But it could have been much worse and thankfully it’s only our spare bath and the damage didn’t leak into our basement suite. And I’m extra thankful to have married such a handy husband or it would be costing us a lot more than it is already! Off to shop for new floor tiles now…
