Outside the Box: A Warehouse Conversion
October 28, 2013
Tired is an understatement and I’m feeling pretty spent after our weekend at The Urban Market. But all of the hard work was well worth it and we had an awesome weekend, starting with our sneak peek party on Friday night (so fun!) and continuing with a busy market day on Saturday. Everyone had a great time and I cannot wait to share photos and more details with you later this week…I feel like I’m still absorbing the experience! While decompressing last night, I stumbled across this inspiring warehouse conversion featured in Est Magazine. It’s no secret that I love a good barn conversion and I absolutely love it when people can look outside the box and see the possibilities in otherwise overlooked buildings and materials. Rather than tearing it down and starting from scratch, these ambitious homeowners worked hard with their architect to create a warm family home while salvaging materials from the former old blind factory. There are more lovely pics over at Est but here are a few of my faves…

Surprisingly bright and inviting for an old warehouse, don’t you think? I’m back to work now and we’ve got plenty post-event cleanup to do before jumping into holiday decorating later this week…phew! But it’s all fun “work” (well, mostly!) so no complaints here! Enjoy your week 🙂
