Opening Day at Spruce Collective!
September 17, 2012
Spruce Collective is officially open for business, hurray! What a whirlwind of a month…we had exactly one month from the day we received our keys until the day we opened our doors to the public but we couldn’t be more proud of our little shop! I am so thrilled to be partnered up with such an amazing group of women and cannot wait to see where we go from here! Elisa, Jessica, Kevi, Monica and I all took a huge leap of faith into this adventure and had so much help from our family and friends to make this dream come true. Our grand opening will be at the end of the month but we had a fantastic first day on Saturday. There just happened to be a vintage car show on our street (one of several very serendipitous coincidences along the way!) and we had hundreds of visitors walk through our doors. We’ve got some serious shopping to do now, too bad ;) Now, our first visitor of the day was a much more talented photographer than I but I thought I’d better share some of my own iPhone pics to tide you over. Without further adieu, welcome to Spruce Collective!
Now that the hustle and bustle to open the doors is over, I’m looking forward to settling into somewhat of a shop schedule and, of course, the fun part will be scouting for new vintage treasures and staging them. Our mineral-based line of paint by CeCe Caldwell will be arriving any day along with several shipments of new home decor goods and we’ll be announcing our creative class schedule this week. Speaking of classes, I’ll be sharing some pretty spectacular before and after’s of our classroom by the end of the week too. Hope that you’re all having a marvellous Monday!

Wow, Lily. It looks lovely!!!! I’m excited for you and will definitely drop in.
I’m green with envy and too many miles away in Northern California. I spy with my little eye a fabulous french wire fruit tower on top of that old metal athletic locker, a weather worn driftwood grey color in the lower right corner of CeCe Caldwell’s paint swatches, and a large wood slab dining table under a green demijohn. Swooooon….. It all looked like a marvelous day. I wish I could view a stop action film of the day!! Congratulations to all the ladies of Spruce. Cheers, Cali Yvonne
