Well folks, tomorrow’s the big day! The Old School Market will be up and running bright and early tomorrow morning…woo hoo! All of our hard work and planning has fallen into place so well (knock on wood) and, as we’ve said before, Rachel and I have been completely blown away by the huge amount of public support, not only from our family and friends but from so many others in our community! She’ll hate me for mentioning it, but Rachel will even be broadcasted on a local radio show this morning! They contacted us earlier this week for an interview and she did amazing (I completely botched the first try…bad memories of grade 9 public speaking all over again!),  just one example of the community reaching out to help support our little market. We’re beyond excited to see our lovely vendors in action and to finally meet some talented blog friends and other contacts in person too…yes, Janis, we’re talking to you!

We’ve been brainstorming our own display and decorations for the schoolhouse for months now and I’d thought I’d share with you a few Etsy favourites that we’ve saved along the way. We’ll be posting many market photos next week and will be sure to let you get a big glimpse of how it all comes together…

I was hoping to post some pictures of our signs and sandwich boards that we painstakingly painted all day Wednesday, but unfortunately my husband had to spend yesterday installing a new hot water heater instead of attaching hinges to our boards. Our old one chose the night before last to leak all over our basement, just one small glitch to add to several others in my personal life over the past couple of weeks! But at least I’ve had the Market to keep me busy and it’s definitely helped me to keep my chin up. Hope to see many of you tomorrow!
