I appreciate a good comfortable chair, don’t you?  And if it looks pretty, well, even better!  I realized awhile ago that I have a bit of a chair collection going on.  I think I might have almost twenty.  I love them all but I’d be willing to trade a select few for some of the stunning specimens below…

How much more work would you be able to get done if you had one of these waiting for you at your desk?

A pair of these would fit in quite nicely with my mid century sofa and I love how versatile they are.  They don’t take up too much space but they are big enough to still be comfortable.  If you have one of these or find one that needs to be reupholstered, they are less expensive to recover than a fully upholstered chair.  And with a little skill and the right tools, you may even be able to tackle this project on your own.

It seems I’ve been gravitating towards lots of white these days… I find this eclectic space very comfortable and fresh.  I imagine you could get fairly lazy in this lounge chair.  So much nicer than the faux leather Lazy Boy that we had growing up. If you entertain a lot, it’s always good to have extra chairs around.  And when it is only you and your significant other, they can be tucked up along side a buffet, put beside a bed or lined up in an entrance way.

We come across bentwood parlor chairs fairly often, in fact, Lily has a nice matched set of 4 around her kitchen table. They have a really nice patina and I’ll be standing in line for them if she ever thinks of trading them in.  I think this dining room is really inviting and cheerful.  I’m not usually attracted to mismatched chairs but these chairs are just so whimsical.

I love everything about this dining room.  The chairs are what first caught my eye…of course.  I mentioned the other day that I’d really like a set of white shell chairs.  And this lucky home owner happens to have 12!  Have you ever seen them with legs like this before?  Love.  And the colour.  The view.  The floor.  The beams.  Everything.

But my favourite chair of all is a beach chair…only one more sleep until we are on a jet plane.  Can’t wait!
